Annual Report 2004-05

I take immense pleasure to place this Annual Report for the year 2004-2005, before this august body and also thank every one for giving me the privilege of submission of the same.As well all know, starting from the inception of this society in the year 1997 and got the formal registration in 1999,we have crossed many a mile stones in order to up keep this organization Our programmes and activities for our target have been gradually increased as well the area of operation has been swelled in size covering the villages in chengam and Thirumarugal blocks in T.V. malai district. Our thrust has been for the tribals/scheduled caste and other socially and economically weaker sections in the area.We always remember and request the reward less services rendered by our respected members of the organization and the animators in the post years.

Let me submit the categorical list of activities and achievements during the year under report. This is an essential awareness-creating programme, because the whole lot of women in the village are often targeted and exploited in every possible way by the vested interests and implicate them in civil and criminal cases. This legal education is being arranged as training programmes with the help of the lawyers in the free legal aid Forum of the district and other social activist of the area. People, especially women are given the knowledge of their legal rights and proections and the ways of challenging any threats and problems in appropriate bodies. Police offices are also participating in these programmse so as to make them aware and confident 20 such camps have been conducted for the reporting year
